I am retired. I spend my time doing some of the things I never got to do while I was working. I am fascinated by simplicity and elegance. I seek to capture that in my photos of flowers, water and landscapes. When I first started taking pictures with my 35mm camera, it was always a landscape. Then one day I looked down and discovered a flower and now I probably look down as often as I look up. I've graduated to digital and I always have a camera with me. I try not to miss emerging beauty in nature. In the flower, I see not only beauty but poise and calm. I look at the petals and how they lay ever so gently atop one another. I look to capture flowers at all stages of development. As I try to do this, I am lost. The world around me...
